Hut Point Pics

Yo everyone. Now that I've sent out my mass email, I guess I gotta start living up to my word and posting interesting things. I wish I knew some. Here are the pics of hut point I was talking about. Coming soon: picture of me in hammock, picture of me holding lighter to the ice with the caption "Take this, Al Gore."
Also, one thing I forgot to say in the E-mail: if you want to send me something (won't get here till October, but you can send it anyway), this is my address:

There isn't enough on this ice cube to fill a space cruiser.

Glad to see that things are so cold down there. Thanks for the call, sorry I wasn't in the best mental state at the time. Talk to you soon, esse.

Hey man,
My roommates and I are going to send you a package! Because we can. Would you care for some fresh fruit? Or would you prefer ice cream? Or chocolate dabloons?
We have lots of questions for you awell.
It's america, so are there churches? Is it getting to be summer? Does that mean that it's sunny all day and night? How long is your contract? Where did you find the job posting?

Carl has a lot of questions!

Re. Package: Keep in mind that anything you send won't be here till mid October, so anything fresh and/or frozen will NOT be good! Otherwise... suprise me! I wish I had some good(ish) coffee...

Re. America/Church: There is one church called 'The Chapel of the Snows' with a lovely penguin motif stained glass window. The yoga classes are held in it.

Re. Summer: It's getting to be Summer, yes, but we still don't have full daylight. It gets light at about 9:30 AM and dark at about 4 PM, but we get almost 20 minutes more daylight every day.

Re. Contract: 6-month contract expiring approximately Feb. 20, with a strong possibility of re-hire if I make a good impression.

Re. Job Posting: Found it in the Denver Post!

To Kelly:
The penguins haven't returned from their winter rookery yet! See: 'The March of the Penguins,' narr. Morgan Freeman.
Apparantly a poor lost penguin showed up on base in June (mid-winter) but when they tried to rescue the poor fellow he was no where to be found...

This blog is boring. Let me know when the ice madness sets in.

And don't leave anybody alone with that dog!

Rock on Jesse - what a cool experience. Something you'll definitely remember for the rest of your life. Pretty sweet pictures too, you'll have to construct some little camera battery warmer so it lasts longer.

Have you seen "The Thing"?
