Well, I'm off on the first leg of my journey. After a long day(s) of flight, I'm here in beautiful Christchurch. I'm deleriously tired, but I was instructed that if I went to sleep upon arrival, my jetlag would be that much worse. The place I'm staying is sort of half apartment, half hotel. It is very comfortable, and I had the best shower of my entire life a minute ago. Nothing fun has happened yet, but the Wellses are coming to hang out in a few hours, and that should be a rollicking good time. The view outside my room is unremarkable, but here it is anyway. I don't have a power adapter, so I'll leave you there to save enough juice to post when something notable happens.
